A former WWE star, who has since starred in blockbuster films such as Baywatch, Hercules, and the Fast & Furious series, to name a few, the Rock has solidified himself as a household name. Coming from humble beginnings, The Rock is known for his insane work ethic that led to his meteoric rise.

The Rock is famously known for waking up at 4 in the morning to work out for hours, even with a busy filming schedule. To fuel his insane workouts and active lifestyle, The Rock eats up to eight meals daily! In addition to eating an insane amount of food, The Rock also takes a full line of supplements.

The Rock has not been known to endorse supplement brands very often, so finding out what supplements he takes was complex. Optimum Nutrition Platinum Hydro Whey

The Rock has been a massive fan of Optimum Nutrition products for a long time. In an interview with Muscle & Fitness, he said, “Post-workout, I have 60 grams Optimum Nutrition’s Platinum Hydrowhey with 15 grams of glutamine.” Also, multiple times on social media, he has said he takes Optimum Nutrition Platinum Hydro Whey. This product is one of the top protein powders on the market today. Hydro Whey comes with a whopping 30 grams of protein per serving, 8.8 grams of BCAA’s, and 15.5 grams of EAA’s.

They came up with the name Hydro Whey because the whey protein isolates are hydrolyzed, breaking down larger proteins into smaller pieces, allowing them to be absorbed rapidly. Research suggests that protein supplements significantly improve muscle size and strength in healthy adults who perform resistance exercise training, such as lifting weights. This a great protein to take after workouts or anytime during the name when you need to get your protein in. The best part of Optimum Nutrition Platinum Hydro Whey is that it is delicious and mixes easily without clumps. Platinum Hydro Whey is also available in a multitude of flavors on Amazon.

Carlson Labs Liquid Fish Oil

We had to do some digging to find out what fish oil supplement The Rock was taking, but we finally stumbled upon a picture he took of the inside of his fridge on Twitter that revealed he was taking Carlson Labs Liquid Fish Oil. This makes sense, as this product has won numerous awards for its high quality and taste.

The list of benefits of taking an omega fish oil supplement goes on and on. Omega fish oil supports heart, vision, brain, and joint health. Carlson’s Liquid Fish Oil contains over 1,600 milligrams of omega-3s per teaspoonful, including EPA and DHA (which many fish oil supplements don’t have). It is sourced from deep, cold-water fish and processed and packaged in Norway. With an award-winning lemon flavor, guaranteed freshness, and quality, you get a top of the line omega-3 supplement with Carlson Labs Liquid Fish Oil. You can also pick it up in pill form if you prefer that over liquid.

A.B.B. Speed Stack

The Rock is a massive fan of Speed Stack, which is a pre-workout drink by A.B.B. He can be seen in many pictures across social media, either carrying a Speed Stack or having one in the background. The rock has tweeted multiple times about drinking Speed Stack before working out. In the tweet below, you can see him carrying a Speed Stack while getting off a private jet.

Each bottle of Speed Stack contains a whopping 300 milligrams of caffeine, enough to get anyone out of bed and to the gym. Speed contains zero sugar, is only five calories, and is jam-packed with many ingredients to get you going. It is one of the best pre-workout drinks on the market and boasts a 4.4 star rating on Amazon.

Optimum Nutrition Essential Amino Energy

The Rock has also been on the record, stating he takes Optimum Nutrition’s Amino Energy. In an interview, he said, “I do cardio 4–5 a.m., then take 4–6 scoops of Optimum’s Amino Energy.” According to studies, there is increasing evidence that regular essential amino acid intake as part of an oral diet is effective in reversing muscle catabolism, promoting muscle anabolism, and restoring immunological function.

This product is fantastic for energy, focus, and muscle recovery. Each serving contains 5 grams of amino acids along with 100 milligrams of caffeine from green tea. The Rock takes Amino Energy in the morning to get an energy boost for his cardio, but you can also take it any time throughout the day. Another cool thing is that Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy is available in over ten flavors.

Optimum Nutrition Glutamine

In addition to Optimum Nutrition Hydro Whey, The Rock will take 15 grams of glutamine post-workout. While he hasn’t said what brand he specifically takes, we will go out on a limb and assume it’s Optimum Nutrition Glutamine. You may be asking, what is glutamine? Glutamine is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body and plays a crucial role in recovery.

Your glutamine levels can be depleted during bouts of strenuous exercise, so it is crucial to replenish those levels. Low glutamine levels can interfere with protein synthesis. One tablespoon of Optimum Nutrition Glutamine contains more glutamine than four jumbo eggs or 4 oz. of lean beef. You can easily mix glutamine into your post-workout protein shake for enhanced recovery. It is also available in pill form.

Animal Pak Multivitamin

In an interview with Bodybuilding.com, The Rock said, “Then part of my daily regime was my glucosamine and then also a multitude of multivitamins. Then I had glutamine, branched-chain amino acids, chondroitin, and one protein shake a day, which I drank after training.” The Rock doesn’t say specifically what multivitamin he takes. Still, we are going to recommend Animal Pak Multivitamin (due to it being a multitude of multivitamins, like seriously, it’s a massive pack of vitamins..) or Optimum Nutrition’s Multivitamin just because The Rock is such an enormous fan of the company.

Taking a multivitamin daily is critical to your health. A multivitamin is like an insurance policy that guarantees you all your daily nutrients you may not get from food. Nutritional deficiencies can cause many problems, so be like the Rock and take your vitamins.

Vimerson Health Chondroitin & Glucosamine

The Rock takes chondroitin and glucosamine on a daily basis. Don’t be alarmed if you haven’t heard of these supplements before – most people haven’t. Glucosamine is a natural compound found in cartilage and has immune-stimulating properties. Glucosamine also helps to alleviate joint stress. Chondroitin is also found in the body and helps promote healthy cartilage and joints.

Since both of these compounds aim to improve joint health, they are very often combined in supplement form. Joe Rogan has also been known to take these supplements together. The Rock doesn’t specifically say which brand he takes, but we recommend the Amazon Best-Seller by Vimerson Health. We also can’t say enough good things about the Onnit supplement line and highly recommend their Stron BONE supplement if you are looking to improve your bones, joints, and structural integrity.
